What a wonderful chronicle of musical awakening. I still recall how, at the age of 11, "I Want to Hold Your Hand" moved my soul. I could not get enough pop music. I had to have a record player and transistor radio.
I still must stop, listen, and reminisce every time I hear an early Beatles song.
lovely narrative....related to it at so many levels. wrote something on the similar lines about the advent of mp3 players / internet. you can read it here:
ziggy stardust is a brilliant piece of work. so true about albums...meaning to write a post on the beauty (which is getting lost) of the music albums. perhaps now...
my wife guided me to yuor blog and am glad she did.
The first time´s always unforgetable!! "So" was so important in my life...What a coincidence! And, as usual, you described it with such a heart. You´re fantastic, Accidental Bookseller! On t´adore!;)
hey! long time! i just loved your story, I'd love to have a lot of vynils! I only have one of the Bee Gees *that I actually bought in France* and I just love it! (although I can't listen to it, so I have it as a relic, but I love it anyway, lol)
I wonder how you draw your pics, I really really like them. I am like, "is she using Paint? or WHAT?!" but they're OH SO GREAT!
